2026 Softball All-Region Team Announced
BRENTWOOD, N.Y. – Region 15 announced its All-Region team for softball on Sunday afternoon.
The Region 15 Softball Player of the Year is Brooke Mancuso from the 2026 Region 15 Champion Suffolk County Community College. This is the second time in a row that Mancuso earned Region 15 Player of the Year honors. The Region's Coach of the Year is Joseph Kosina from Suffolk County. The Region 15 Gold Glove winner is Tiara Desanto from Monroe University – Bronx.
Mancuso produced a .574 batting average and slugged 1.043 during the year. She hit five home runs, scored 46 times, produced 38 RBIs, scorched 19 doubles, and drilled five triples in 27 games played during 2026.
In the deciding Game 3 of the Region 15 Championship Series against Dutchess Community College, Mancuso went 3-for-4, including a two-run homer, a double, and an RBI single. Thanks to her strong game, she was named the Region 15 Tournament MVP.
Kosina led the nationally ranked No. 8 Sharks to the Region 15 Championship and a spot in the Northeast District Championship Series. Suffolk County is 17-10 and has defeated multiple nationally ranked teams this year under Kosina's leadership.
Desanto produced 58 putouts during her rookie season and played multiple infield positions for the Express.
