Nassau Community College men's volleyball earned national recognition following a standout 2026 campaign.
Thomas Wildeman was named an NJCAA First Team All-American and AVCA Two-Year College Men's Volleyball All-American
Dom Cieleski received NJCAA Third Team All-American honors
The two All-American selections highlight the success of a Nassau team that captured the Region XV Championship, finished with a 21-6 overall record, went undefeated in conference play at 10-0, and advanced to the NJCAA National Tournament.
Wildeman established himself as one of the top all-around players in the country throughout the season, earning a spot on the 2026 AVCA Two-Year College Men's Volleyball All-American Team — an honor that spans both NJCAA programs and two-year colleges in California competing under the 3C2A, making it one of the most prestigious recognitions in junior college volleyball. In 26 matches and 90 sets played, he led the Lions with 350 total points and 255 kills while averaging 3.89 points and 2.83 kills per set. His offensive production consistently powered Nassau against top competition all season long.
One of Wildeman's biggest impacts came from the service line, where he totaled 72 service aces — averaging 0.80 aces per set — ranking him among the most dangerous servers in the NJCAA and first in the country in total service aces.
Wildeman also excelled defensively, recording 198 digs at 2.20 digs per set while posting a strong reception percentage across 560 serve receive attempts. At the net, he added 33 total blocks — including 13 solo blocks and 20 block assists — continuing to contribute in every aspect of the game.
Alongside Wildeman, Cieleski played a critical role in Nassau's success as the team's primary setter and floor leader. Appearing in 27 matches and 94 sets, he finished with 828 assists, averaging 8.81 assists per set, ranking him fourth in the country among junior college playmakers.
Cieleski's ability to control the offense and distribute the ball helped Nassau develop one of the most balanced attacks in the region. In addition to his playmaking, he contributed 43 service aces, 129 digs, and 15 total blocks during the season.
His versatility and consistency made him one of the top setters in the NJCAA and earned him Third Team All-American recognition.
Together, Wildeman and Cieleski formed the foundation of Nassau's championship run. Their leadership, production, and all-around performances helped elevate the Lions into one of the top programs in Region XV and among the top teams nationally during the 2026 season.
