Lepore And Kuprianchik Named To NJCAA Men’s Lacrosse All-America First Team; Four Lions Land on All-American Second Team

Charlotte, North Carolina - The 2024 NJCAA Men's Lacrosse All-America Teams were released on Tuesday, and the Nassau Community College Lions men's lacrosse team boasted six selections, with freshmen Jack Lepore and Tyler Kuprianchik while sophomores Christian Maisel and R. Kelly Trajean and freshmen Brady Dolan and Elijiah Porter all landed on the All-America Second Team.
The Nassau Community College men's lacrosse team, who finished the 2024 season ranked No. 3 in the country, punched their ticket to the NJCAA National Championship for the 53rd time in program history, rolling 15-9 over the College of DuPage before falling to third-seeded and the eventual National Champion Harford (MD) by the score of 23-9. While the result may not have been the way the Lions wanted to end the year, their players still put up consistently throughout the regular season under first-year coach Karl Hedstrom.
Lepore was the Lion's top offensive threat in 2024, putting together a tremendous freshman season, leading the squad in goals (38), points (45), and shots (70). The Islip, New York, native led the nation in man-up goals with nine on the season, while his 38 goals on the year were 10th nationally. The 2024 NJCAA Lacrosse All-Tournament Team selection registered eight hat tricks in 10 games, with one coming in the 2024 NJCAA Men's Lacrosse tournament semifinals against eventual back-to-back Champion Harford (MD). The NJCAA Lacrosse Player of the Week had a career-high eight-goal game in a 24-0 defeat of Sussex Community College while he also dished out seven assists, which were second on the team.
Kuprianchik was a terror from the X all season for Nassau Community College and one of the best faceoff men in America, leading the team with 183 faceoff wins, which was third in the nation. The 2024 NJCAA Lacrosse All-Tournament Team selections of 125 ground balls were tops on the team and good for second in the country, while his 68.5% faceoff percentage led Nassau and was also good for 16th in the country. The Northport, New York native registered 11 groundballs in the National semifinals against Harford Community College and netted two goals on six shots.
Maisel, an NJCAA Week Six Lacrosse Player of the Week, was another part of the Lions three-headed monster attack on offense, leading them with three game-winning goals while ranking second in three other categories: goals (23), shots (59), assists (7) and tied third in points with 30. The Amityville, New York native registered nine multi-goal games in 11 appearances, including seven straight, to end the season with two goals against Harford (MD) in the NJCAA Lacrosse Tournament semifinals.
Dolan served as the chef of the Lions offensive attack, distributing a team-high 33 assists, which was also fourth in the country while being second in points with 36. Porter was a major contributor to Lion's defense, recording 15 caused turnovers, which was second the squad, with a team-high seven coming in the National semifinals against Harford Community College. Trajean collected 20 groundballs, five caused turnovers, two goals, and two assists in 12 games for the Lions.
