Rockland Grabs Region XV Men's Tennis Title
Rockland claimed the 2017 Region XV Division III Men's Tennis Championship, held last weekend at Suffolk CC. The Hawks earned 11 points, beating out Nassau (8) and Suffolk (7).
The title was earned through the team's domination of doubles competition as they swept all three flights. They only won one flight at singles, but that proved to be enough to earn the Championship.Suffolk had three singles winners, while Nassau had two. In total, four singles players made the finals each from Nassau and Rockland, while Kingsborough also had one.
The teams will now compete at Nationals in Plano, TX on May 14-15.
