Monroe College Men's Indoor Track And Field's 4x400m Relay and Mehdi Guerrah Qualify For NJCAA Indoor Track And Field Championships

Boston, Massachusetts - The Monroe College Mustang men's indoor track and field team put together another outstanding showing on the final day of the David Hemery Valentine Invitational hosted by Boston University on Saturday afternoon, adding to two new NJCAA Indoor Track and Field Championship qualifiers and having another runner improve his overall ranking for the national meet.

The Mustangs 4x400m relay squad of Chazz Alexander, Tinashe Bure, Dwayne Fleming, and Mehdi Guerrah punched their ticket to the NJCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships, closing out the day with a time of 3:16.72, defeating the qualifying standard for the event and earning a spot at the 2024 NJCAA Indoor Championships.

Bure got things off to a roaring start for the Mustangs today in the 800-meter run, improving his ranking for the NJCAA Indoor Championships by clocking in with a time of 1:55.42 in the race.

Guerrah crossed the finish line with a time of 48.31 seconds to qualify for the NJCAA Indoor Championships.

The Mustangs will look to keep their momentum rolling tomorrow, February 11, at the 116th running of the prestigious Millrose Games at The Armory, kicking off with the men's 4x400m relay at 12:01 p.m.
