Suffolk County to Compete in the JUCO Softball World Series Beginning on Wednesday

The Suffolk County Community College Sharks punched its ticket to the NJCAA Division III JUCO Softball World Series by defeating Community College of Rhode Island in both games of the Northeast District Championship Series back on May 9. The scores were 14-2 and 5-1. The contests took place at Winslow Field up in Warwick, R.I.

Suffolk County Wins Region 15 Softball Championship

The top-seeded Suffolk County Community College softball team captured the Region 15 Championship on Sunday afternoon, defeating #2-seed Dutchess Community College in the deciding Game 3 by a score of 14-2. The game took place at the Michael J. Grant Softball Field on the campus of Suffolk County Community College.
Dutchess and Suffolk County to Compete in Region 15 Softball Championship Series This Weekend

The Region 15 Softball Championship Series has been set. It will be a best-of-three series between #2-seed Dutchess Community College and top-seeded/nationally ranked No. 8 Suffolk County Community College. The winner of the series will capture the Region 15 Title and earn a berth in the Northeast Distirct Championship Series the following weekend.
Express and Falcons to Play Best-Two-Out-Of-Three Region 15 Softball First-Round Series Starting on Tuesday

The Monroe University – Bronx softball team will compete in the opening round of the Region 15 Postseason beginning on Tuesday afternoon. The #3-seed Express will take on the defending Region 15 Champion and #2-seed Dutchess Community College in a best-two-out-of-three series. Game 1 and Game 2 will be on Tuesday at 3 p.m. and 5 p.m., respectively. The deciding Game 3, if necessary, will be on Wednesday at 3 p.m. All games will take place at Dutchess Softball Field.

The Dutchess Community College softball team's historic season came to an end on Saturday afternoon with two losses in the Northeast District Championship Series to nationally ranked No. 6 Community College of Rhode Island, by scores of 6-1 and 5-1, at Dutchess Softball Stadium.

Dutchess Falcons Softball Team Wins Region 15 Championship

The Dutchess Community College softball team captured the Region 15 Championship with a 9-1 victory over Monroe University – Bronx, at the Suffolk County Community College Brentwood Campus, on Sunday afternoon. The Falcons earn a berth in the Northeast District Championship Series which will be played next weekend at Dutchess Stadium. The opponent and times of the best two-out-of-three series will be announced later. The winner of the District Championship Series will clinch a berth in the Division III JUCO World Series.
Region 15 Softball Postseason Begins on Saturday

The Region 15 Softball Postseason will begin on Saturday at the Suffolk County Community College Brentwood Campus. The Suffolk County Sharks (10-16, 6-2 Region 15) enter the field as the No. 1 seed. The defending Region 15 Champion Monroe University - Bronx Express (8-33, 3-3 Region 15) will be the No. 2 seed. The Dutchess Community College Falcons (10-14, 2-6 Region 15) are the No. 3 seed.
