BMCC Men's Cross Country Team Captures Region 15 Championship

The Borough of Manhattan men's cross country team finished off an amazing regular season with a first-place performance at the 2025 Cross Country Region 15 Championship! With the win, in just year four as a program, the Panthers earned the schools first-ever Region 15 Cross Country Championship at the St. Joseph's Invitational in Sunken Meadow State Park.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla., November 12, 2022 – After coming into the 2022 NJCAA Div. I Men's Cross Country Championships as the No. 25-ranked team in the NJCAA, the Monroe College Mustangs men's cross country team outperformed their ranking, placing 16th out of 29 teams in Saturday's championship meet at Apalachee Regional Park.

Westfield, Mass. (Nov. 5, 2022) - The NJCAA Division III Men’s Cross Country Championship sported a competitive field of 157 runners from around the country, and two Region 15 runners made their mark. SUNY Orange’s Thomas Hayden and Suffolk C.C.’s Logan Ferri both posted top-ten finishes, with Hayden crossing the tape for a third-place finish and Ferri crossing the line in eighth.

Westfield, Mass. (Nov. 3, 2022) - The Suffolk men’s and women’s cross country teams will lace it up this weekend at Stanley Park in Westfield, Massachusetts, on Saturday, November 5, for the 2022 NJCAA DIII Cross Country National Championships. The Sharks head into the Nationals this weekend from a successful 2022 campaign where they captured the NJCAA Division III Cross Country Region 15 Championship on October 15 at Sunken Meadow Park in Kings Park, New York. Suffolk is spearheaded by four top seven Region 15 medalists led by Logan Ferrari, who finished second and received All-Region 15 honors alongside Jeffrey Simmons, Michael Burns, and Christopher Frohne, who crossed the line in numerical order (4th,5th, and 6th).

Bronx, New York (Oct. 30, 2022) - Queensborough freshman Renaediaz Miller was named the CUNYAC community college individual champion after finishing 14th overall in the 8k race with a time of 32:31. He also led Queensborough to the 2022 Conference Championship with a first place finish with 43 points.

Bronx, New York – On Sunday, the Queensborough Community College men’s cross country team competed in the 2022 CUNYAC Cross Country Championship at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx against seven other Division III schools from the CUNYAC and three CUNYAC two-year schools. The Tigers men’s team finished in first place with 18 points ahead of Hostos Community College, who posted 43 points.

NEW ORLEANS, La., October 24, 2022 – Aaliyah Headley and Karim Belmahdi of the Monroe College Mustangs cross country team swept the M-F Athletic United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) NJCAA Div. I National Athlete of the Week awards for the week ending Oct. 23, as announced by the USTFCCCA on Monday.

Bethpage, New York - A pair of Queensborough Tigers earned All-Region status for their performances at the 2022 Region XV Championships on Saturday at Sunken Meadow State Park. Freshman Renaediaz Miller and fellow freshman LeAndre Simpson both took home Second Team All-Region honors for their Top-10 finishes at regionals. In the 8k event, Miller finished in 8th place in a time of 31:54.3, while Simpson finished in 10th place in a time of 34:26.
